Israel Confirms Attack On Palestinian Activists

By

The Israeli military admitted that its helicopters had targeted a group of Palestinian resistance activists in Al-Qarara village in Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip.

An Israeli army spokesman claimed in remarks to Israel Radio tonight that the attacked group was preparing to fire rockets at south Israel.

One Palestinian was killed and three others wounded Saturday evening in an Israeli helicopter attack on Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip.

The injured Palestinians, who had minor wounds, are believed to be activists of Al-Quds Brigades, the armed wing of Islamic Jihad, according to local radio stations.

Last week, Israel and Palestinians resistance groups were engaged in an escalated clash after the Israeli army had killed five leaders of Al-Quds Brigades.

Israeli Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu had vowed to continue targeting Palestinian militants who try to fire rockets at south Israel.
