Greece Reshuffles Cabinet

The Greek government has announced a Cabinet reshuffle.

Minister for Development Michalis Chrisochoidis has been appointed Minister for Citizen Protection after Christos Papoutsis resigned from the post in order to run for a high position within the Panhellenic Socialist Movement.

Minister for Education Anna Diamantopoulou has been appointed Minister for Development and prominent scientist Georgios Babiniotis will lead the Education Ministry.

The reshuffle comes just weeks before early parliamentary elections which have been set for late April – early May.

VOR, or the Voice of Russia, was the Russian government's international radio broadcasting service from 1993 until 2014, when it was reorganised as Radio Sputnik.
