Libya: NATO Bombs Tripoli, Says ‘No Future’ To Gaddafi

By

Fresh NATO airstrikes rocked the Libyan capital early Tuesday after the alliance’s secretary-general dismissed complaints that the operation against Libyan ruler Moammar Gadhafi had faced a stalemate.

At least three rounds of blasts heard across Tripoli. Government spokesman Musa Ibrahim was quoted as saying by CNN that the warplanes hit administrative buildings in the center of the city, and that a nearby hospital was “indirectly” affected.

NATO Secretary-General Anders Fogh Rasmussen stated on Monday that Gadhafi and his regime “have no future.”

Rasmussen denied that the situation in Libya had devolved into a “stalemate,” insisting that NATO was “making progress.”
