Iran: Six Foreigners Killed In Mysterious Factory Blast

A blast in a factory in the central Iran province of Yazd claimed seven lives and wounded 12 others Sunday evening, the Iranian authorities confirmed on Monday.

According to IRNA, Yazd Governor Azizollah Seifi added that the explosion occurred in Ghadir-e Yazd Steel factory at 19:15 local time Sunday evening. According to him, 6 foreign nationals residing in Yazd province were among those killed in the explosion. The other was an Iranian national.

Seifi stressed that the incident is currently under thorough investigation.
