GCC Calls Urgent Arab Foreign Ministers Meeting On Syria

The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) asked the Arab League on Thursday to convene an urgent meeting by the Arab foreign ministers to probe the deteriorating situations in Syria.

“In view of the continuous deteriorations in the Arab Republic of Syria and after coordination and consultation among the foreign ministers of the six GCC member states, the GCC demands an urgent meeting by the Arab League Council on the foreign minister-level to discuss the Syrian crisis,” said the GCC Secretariat in a statement tonight.

The statement expressed profound regret over the serous humanitarian crisis and bloodshed in the Arab country.
