Military Strike Against Iran May Wreak Havoc On Israel – George Mitchell

By

Former U.S. Middle East envoy George Mitchell says the idea of launching a military strike against Iran is untenable, as the measure could wreak tremendous havoc on Israel.

“I don’t think anyone who is a proponent of a preemptive strike [against Iran] has so far made a sufficient case to justify it at this time,” Mitchell said in a recent interview.

The top US diplomat further argued that military options will not guarantee the full termination of Iran’s nuclear program, adding that such confrontation can merely bring about a temporary set-back in Tehran’s achievements in nuclear technology, APA reported.

The USA and Israel should think not twice but many
times before they decide on a pre-emptive strike on Iran. Unless they annihilate Iran completely (which
is an unlikely scenario), at the first strike ,
Israel will inevitably suffer the consequences of a
whole barrage of conventional and ( ? ) weapons .
Iran ,one would expect ,may utilise her entire
arsenal to destroy any attacker .Any attack on Iran will only goad her to intensify her nuclear
ambitions. Dialogue is the only way to obviate
    disaster .Unfortunately, some nations wait
anxiously to make capital of DISASTER .Iraq, Libya
    are excellent examples !!!
