Reuters reports that supporters of Daesh (Islamic State) have taken to social media to celebrate the deadly Bastille Day attack in Nice, France, that has killed at least 73 people and wounded over 100.

While neither French officials nor Daesh spokesmen have officially declared it a militant attack, supporters of the group are praising the unidentified attacker.

“The number of those killed had reached 62 french crusaders and sinful infidels in Nice, France.. God is great, God is great,” read one tweet, according to Reuters.

On the evening of July 14, a truck drove at high speed down the packed Promenade des Anglais seafront in Nice, France, in the midst of Bastille Day celebrations. The truck crashed in a mass of people.

The driver was shot dead and residents of the city were advised to stay indoors as police and military investigate the attack. According to Reuters, guns and grenades were discovered inside the truck. There are unconfirmed reports of the driver shooting at pedestrians.

The Bastille Day attack comes almost exactly eight months after the Daesh-claimed Paris attacks that killed 130.

Investigations are ongoing.
