Two US missile strikes in Pakistani tribal agency of Khyber killed more than a dozen suspected militants and wounded several others on Friday, said officials.

US predator drones fired missile at suspected militant compounds in two villages of Tirah Valley, security officials told KUNA.

They said the strike completely destroyed the targeted compounds and killed more than a dozen suspected militants.

Several people also sustained injuries.

This was the second strike that took place in the area since Thursday night.

More than 100 such strikes have taken place since January in North Waziristan tribal agency.

The unilateral drone strikes have been repeatedly protested by the Pakistan government, but they have been credited with the killing of few wanted Al-Qaeda militants.
