Iran Won’t Give Up Nuclear Rights, Says Senior MP

Iran will not abandon its nuclear achievements in the upcoming negotiations with the powers of the 5 +1 group, said Sunday, a senior Iranian official, according to IRNA news agency.

Parliament will never allow the government to take a step backward in the country’s nuclear policy, “said Allaeddine Boroujerdi, head of the Foreign Affairs Committee in the Iranian Parliament.

These comments came as Iran and Group 5 +1 (United States, Russia, China, France, Britain and Germany) should resume negotiations to find a solution to the Iranian nuclear crisis.

The United States and Western countries have strengthened in recent months economic sanctions, mainly on Iran’s oil and banking sectors, to force it to surrender its nuclear program. However, Russia and China objected to new sanctions.
