Saudi Cabinet Hails King Salman’s Historic Visit To Egypt, Turkey

Saudi Arabia’s King Salman chaired the Cabinet’s session at Al-Yamamah Palace in Riyadh on Monday afternoon.

The Cabinet congratulated the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques on the success of his official visit to Egypt, citing the signing of a package of agreements and memorandums of understanding during the visit as well as the establishment of a causeway between the two countries.

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques briefed the Cabinet on the outcome of his talks with the Egyptian President resulting in further strengthening the historical relations between the two sisterly countries and serving the Islamic and Arab nations.

The Cabinet congratulated the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques on the success of his official visit to the Republic of Turkey yielding fruitful results and witnessing the signing of the protocol for establishing the Saudi Turkish Coordination Council.

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques briefed the Cabinet on the results of his meetings in the Turkish city of Istanbul with each of the Sultan of Brunei Darussalam; the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan; Emir of Kuwait; and Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Bahrain as well as the contents of the message he received from the President of Turkmenistan.

The Cabinet lauded the communiqué issued by the 13th summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Istanbul, including denunciation of the hostilities sustained by Saudi diplomatic and consulate missions in the cities of Tehran and Mash-had respectively as well as the Iranian provocative statements and its interference in the internal affairs of OIC member states.

The Cabinet praised the contents of the OIC statement, vowing to hold an international peace conference as early as possible to forge mechanisms to provide an international protection for the Palestinian people and end the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territories occupied since 1967, including the Eastern Al-Quds.

The Cabinet reiterated the Kingdom’s rejection and condemnation of the terrorists acts in all its forms and whatever its objective or sources .

The Cabinet expressed denunciation and condemnation of the terrorist act which took place in the village of Karbabad in the Kingdom of Bahrain, confirming the stand of Saudi Arabia by the side of the Kingdom of Bahrain in fighting terrorism.

The Cabinet expressed profound appreciation of the hosting of the State of Kuwait of political negotiations among Yemeni parties, hoping that the event would turn a success and proceed to resuming the political process and the keep alive the efforts aiming to reach a settlement to the Yemeni crisis.

The Cabinet hailed bilateral relations of the Kingdom with Djibouti as well as the signing of Security Cooperation Agreement between the governments of the two countries by the Crown Prince, Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior and Djibouti Minister of Interior .

The Cabinet listened to a report on the visit made by the Deputy Crown Prince to Jordan, resulting in the two countries’ agreement to promote relations between them in a number of fields.
