Official: U.S. “Ready” To Tackle Iran

By

(RFE/RL) — The United States top military officer has said Iran is trying to build a nuclear bomb and warned that Washington is “very ready” to counter what he called the Islamic republic’s threats to “peace and stability.”

Admiral Mike Mullen, chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff was speaking during a visit to Bahrain, which lies across the Gulf from Iran.

Several Gulf states have expressed concerns to the U.S. about Iran’s nuclear program, according to diplomatic cables recently released by Wikileaks.

Tehran has denied it is building a bomb and insists its uranium enrichment work is solely for peaceful civilian energy purposes.

The people of Iran are calling on us to liberate them, so they may join our free democratic allies Egypt, Kuwait, Iraq, Afghanistan and Jordan and rid themselves of their evil murderous rulers. Only ubermensch countries such as Israel, who honor the international law both in letter and spirit should be allowed to have nukes. The only question is why the US allows the terrorist regime in Iran to continue to exist, when they could free Iranians as Israel freed the Gazans.
