Iran: Bushehr Nuclear Plant To Be Started Up As Planned

Chief of Russia’s Federal Atomic Agency Rosatom Sergei Kirilenko has claimed that the Bushehr plant will be launched as planned.

Commenting on Iran’s announcement that all work on the site would be finished by March 20, Kirienko said that there were “no interim terms”. “There is one official date. We aren’t discussing any other timelines,” he said, stressing that everything was going according to the schedule.

Rosatom denies plans for new nuclear plants in Iran

Russia is not negotiating the construction of any new nuclear power plants with Iran, chief of Russia’s main atomic agency Sergei Kirilenko said.

Iran’s Bushehr nuclear plant is being built with Russian help and will soon be operating at full capacity.
