More than 100 Injured In Dutch Trains Collision

By

Police in the Netherlands say at least 120 people were injured, many seriously, when two commuter trains crashed head-on in Amsterdam Saturday.

A police spokesman told the media there were no immediate reports of fatalities, but of those injured, 70 suffered minor injuries and the rest were “seriously or very seriously injured,” including broken bones and head injuries.

The collision has disrupted rail traffic between the city’s Central Station and Schiphol international airport.

It was not immediately clear how the two trains could end up on the same track. Police are investigating.
