Merkel Says Don’t Expect Decisions At Sunday Summit

German Chancellor Angela Merkel Sunday ruled out that any decisions will be made during the EU summit today to find a solution to the sovereign debt crisis.
“We are preparing ourselves for Wednesday’s summit ,” she told reporters as she arrived for the summit. Eurozone leaders are to hold another summit on Wednesday in Brussels.
Merkel explained that there are complex technical issues like how the EU bail fund , the European Financial Stability Facility (EFSF) should function and said we have to work very carefully and to think over all details.
“Therefore one should not expect decisions today but on Wednesday,” she noted.
Merkel added that there will be very concentrated and important discussions today at the summit.
