The U.S. Department of Defense plans to reorganize its intelligence services, The Washington Post cited a senior defense official as saying on Monday.

The reorganization will be aimed at expanding the military’s espionage efforts beyond war zones.

The new Defense Clandestine Service will work closely with the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). It will deal with spying operations against high-priority targets, including Iran.
