A Palestinian farmer was shot and wounded early Friday by Israeli soldiers north of Gaza Strip, while Israeli forces bombed east of Gaza city.

Palestinian medical sources told KUNA that the farmer was injured by Israeli fire while he was working at his farm in Beit Lahya, north of Gaza Strip.

The mildly wounded farmer was transferred to Kamal Adwan Hospital for medical treatment, the sources added.

Meanwhile, Israeli artillery bombarded Palestinian agricultural lands on the southern-eastern outskirts of Gaza, apparently targeting Palestinian farmers in the region. However, none of them was injured, and they fled the area fearing further attacks.

On Thursday, a Palestinian shepherd died after being shot by Israeli forces while attending his herd in Beit Lahya.

The last few days witnessed Israeli raids and shootings in which six Palestinians were killed and several others were injured.
