EU Cancels Finance Ministers Meeting

A meeting of EU’s 27 finance ministers which was scheduled for Wednesday morning in Brussels has been cancelled, the current Polish EU presidency announced Tuesday.
“Work on the comprehensive package of measures to curb the sovereign debt crisis will be continued at the meeting of Heads of State and Governments of the European Union on 26 October in Brussels,” it said in a brief statement.
It added that further work at the level of Ministers of Finance will be conducted based on the outcome of tomorrow’s EU summit.
EU leaders are to hold their second summit within three days tomorrow in order to find a solution to the Greek debt crisis and the financial crisis in Europe.
