Ten Wounded In Turkey Suicide Attack

At least 10 people were injured in a suicide attack in Turkey’s mainly Kurdish southeast on Saturday, officials say.

The blast occurred near the office of the ruling AK Party in the town of Bingol, Interior Minister Idris Naim Sahin said.

Turkey is fighting against a separatist Kurdish insurgency, and the blast comes as relief efforts are continuing after the country’s biggest earthquake since 1999.

Van, another largely Kurdish province, was one of the worst-hit by last Sunday’s 7.20 magnitude earthquake which claimed at least 582 lives.
