NATO Decision On Patriot Deployment In Turkey To Be Made In ‘Next Few Days’

NATO is expected in the coming days to make a decision regarding Turkey’s request to deploy Patriot missiles along it’s border with Syria.

According to NATO spokesperson, Oana Lungescu, NATO is “making good progress. Everybody has been working very hard.”

“NATO Ambassadors, NATO military authorities and, of course, the site assessment team, who are currently continuing their work in Turkey as we speak,” Lungescu said, adding that “everybody’s been working hard to make sure that we are in a position to make a decision on Turkey’s request in the next few days.”

Lungescu made the comments at the pre-ministerial briefing held at NATO headquarters in Brussels.
