Yemen: Gunmen Bomb LPG Pipeline

By

Armed men, believed to be Al-Qaeda militants, bombed an LPG pipeline in the eastern Shabwa province, a security source said Friday evening.

The source, requesting anonymity, said the attack might be in retaliation of the killing of six Al-Qaeda gunmen by Yemeni forces in Shabwa earlier today.

Columns of smoke could be seen rising from the LPG pipeline, which stretches from Safer to the gas exports peer in Shabwa.

The six Al-Qaeda gunmen were in a car and were attacked by an unmanned aircraft.
