Syria: Security Forces Kill At Least 11 During Protests
Syrian security forces killed at least 11 civilians, including a mother and her daughter, on Friday,during massive protests across Syria, activists said.
Nine of the dead were protesters taking part in anti-regime demonstrations in Syria. Six victims were reported in Homs. Two others were killed in the Qadam neighborhood of Damascus while one was killed in Daraya, which is located near he capital, AFP said.
The other two victims, a mother and daughter, were killed when the army shelled a chicken hatchery in the town of Al-Bara in the northwestern province of Idleb, another human rights activist said.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights says 1,342 civilians have been killed since the protests started in mid-March.
