Cindy Sheehan: Response To Juan Cole’s Answer To Glenn Greenwald – OpEd

WHAT PROF COLE WROTE and WHAT GREENWALD WROTE

Dear Professor Cole,

The best way that you can support the so-called rebels in Libya is to raise a battalion to go and fight side by side with them.

Libya
Libya

You say that getting rid of Qaddafi with be “worth the sacrifices in life and treasure.”

I think you have gone down the slippery slope of neoconservatism when you are willing to sacrifice other people’s lives and other people’s treasures in another violent war for oil and other natural resources.

You also put yourself in service to NATO, which as I am sure you must know, is just another tool for in the US’s quest for global hegemony over resources and economies, as currently in Afghanistan which has billions of dollars worth of precious minerals and natural gas.

I used to have a lot of respect for you and I know for sure that you are not ill-informed or stupid, so I wonder how many pieces of silver you earned for this one.

Cindy Sheehan

Cindy Sheehan is an American anti-war activist whose son, Specialist Casey Sheehan, was killed during his service in the Iraq War by the Mehdi Army on April 4, 2004. She attracted national and international media attention in August 2005 for her extended anti-war protest at a makeshift camp outside President George W. Bush's Texas ranch — a stand which drew both passionate support and angry criticism. More of her writings can be found at Cindy Sheehan's Soapbox: Writing from the Emprire.

What will Cindy ‘ME’ Sheehan do next? She can care less about her brave son (who volunteered), just getting the attention of the cameras. Just a few Cindy stunts..
-t shirt stunt at 2006 State of the Union address
-hunger strike that lasted around 6 hours (unless you count Jamba Juice)
    -failed books
    -arrests for civil disobedience
-radio show on a corporate media (Clear Channel) affiliate
-failed run for Pelosi’s seat in 2008
-assault of a veteran at Travis AFB in 2009

I’m sure I missed some but you get the picture. Meanwhile she continues to live off Casey’s life insurance to travel the world and ‘grieve’. She has been to Cuba, Venezuela (to embrace dissent-quasher Huge-0 Chavez), Egypt, and Norway to name just a few. Where will she mourn next, in Paris with a glass of burgundy? Cindy, what are you really more sad about: the loss of your brave son, or the fact that your 15 minutes are up? I think the latter.

    Peace on Earth,

To the two who have already commented with the “your 15 minutes are up.” Really? That’s how you comment? Her son is dead you heartless beings, I can’t even call you human because I’d like to think that humans are better than that.

    Cindy,

The real question is how much silver have you earned from your son’s death?
