Armed clashes erupted on Tuesday in the center of Tripoli, the capital of Libya. At least six people were killed in the fire exchanges. According to eyewitnesses, the fighting took place near the headquarters of the previous regime’s secret services.

The witnesses conveyed that the clashes erupted when security forces loyal to the National Transitional Council of Libya tried to retake the government building, occupied by a militia of rebels from the town of Misruta. .
