The visa exemption between Morocco and Kazakhstan will come into effect on March 19th.

Following the mutual visa exemption decisions between Morocco and Turkey, and then between Morocco and Azerbaijan, which came into effect on August 28, 2024, the Republic of Kazakhstan has announced a similar measure with the Kingdom of Morocco. During a recent meeting in Morocco between the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Murat Nurtleu, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccans Living Abroad, Nasser Bourita, the date of March 19th was set for the entry into force of the visa exemption agreement for holders of ordinary passports, according to Azertac’s correspondent.

On an official visit to Rabat, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Murat Nurtleu, reaffirmed on Friday his country’s support for Morocco’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as for the Autonomy Plan presented by the Kingdom in 2007.

The communiqué from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Morocco expresses their gratitude and satisfaction for receiving the support of the leading power in Central Asia, Kazakhstan. The communiqué includes the following paragraph: “This unequivocal support from Kazakhstan for the Autonomy Plan, within the framework of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Kingdom, is of particular significance given the importance and leading role of this country in the Central Asian region. This substantial support strengthens the major achievements of the Kingdom regarding its national cause, in accordance with the High Orientations of His Majesty the King, may God assist Him.”

In summary, Kazakhstan continues to play a key role in multilateral politics. It has become not only a privileged partner of Europeans in recent years but also an indispensable partner in North Africa. Kazakhstan will certainly become an indispensable power for North African countries, just as it has become for European countries, notably France and Asian countries.
