Saleh Injured As Yemeni Presidential Palace Hit By Shells
The Yemeni presidential palace was struck by at least two shells on Friday as street fighting widened to more parts of the capital, Reuters reported. Firefights in Sanaa killed at least 155 people over the last 10 days. There are some reports that senior government officials were wounded, including President Saleh and Speaker of Parliament Yahya al-Rai’e.
Meanwhile, the government military forces Friday afternoon bombed the house of Hamid al-Ahmar the younger brother of Sadeq al Ahmar the tribal leader whose forces have been battling against the regime. This came after tribesmen declared the seizure of tanks and military vehicles and spread news about the escape of President Ali Abdullah Saleh and his family outside Sanaa.
