Romney Wins Washington Caucuses, Ron Paul In Second

By

Massachusetts ex-Governor Mitt Romney continues his winning streak in the race for the Republican presidential nomination by garnering a hefty 36-plus percent of votes in the state of Washington.

Congressman Ron Paul came in second with 25 percent, trailed very closely by former Senator Rick Santorum with 24.5 percent.

Saturday’s caucuses were the last ahead of the March 6 ‘Super Tuesday’, which traditionally sees preliminary voting in 10 US states and which names the likeliest winner.

The US presidential elections are scheduled for November 6.
