Lebanon’s Shiite group Hezbollah has no chemical weapons, but enough missiles to inflict a considerable damage on Israel in case of an assault, Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said.

“We have no chemical weapons and we do not need it… But we are capable of hitting painful for Israel targets. Israelis understand this and take it into account,” Nasrallah said in an interview with a Lebanese TV channel.

Nasrallah reiterated that Hezbollah has a list of important targets in Israel and its missiles are aimed to hit them.

In over five years since the Israeli-Hezbollah war in 2006, northern Israel has seen several rocket attacks by Lebanese-based terrorist organizations, but there have been no cases of confrontation between the regular army forces of either countries.

Hezbollah is a paramilitary and political organization originating in Lebanon’s Shiite population, fighting for an Islamic state in Lebanon. The group is considered a terrorist state by many Western governments including Israel, the US, UK and many European states, but not by Russia.
