It is reported that Netanyahu, who is expected to visit Washington soon, will make a fresh initiative for resuming talks with the Palestinian side.

He claimed that the current unrest in some Arab countries could contribute to pushing regional peace forward.

For his part, the president of Chile reiterated that his country had recognized an independent Palestinian state living side by side in peace with Israel.

He hoped that both Israeli and Palestinians sides could get back to the negotiating table soon.
