Iran Keen For Broader Military Ties With Serbia
Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Amir Hatami expressed the country’s eagerness to reach agreements with Serbia on military cooperation.
Iran is ready to broaden military and defense relations with Serbia, Hatami said Thursday in a meeting with his Serbian counterpart Aleksandar Vulin, held on the sidelines of a security conference in Moscow.
The Iranian minister also expressed the hope that Tehran and Belgrade would sign a deal in the near future on technical and military cooperation.
“Defense cooperation between the two countries could greatly contribute to regional stability and security,” General Hatami added.
For his part, the Serbian minister praised Iran for its policies that protect security and stability in the region, expressing the hope that bilateral defense ties would grow as fast as the political relations.
The Iranian defense minister has traveled to Russia to attend the 7th Moscow Conference on International Security (MCIS).
