Iraq: Five American Troops Die In Baghdad Bombing Attack
The U.S. military stated that five American soldiers have been killed in central Iraq.
It said in a brief statement that the five died on Monday. It did not provide additional details.
The Al Arabiya satellite network conveyed earlier that six American soldiers were killed and five more wounded by a suicide bomber at the entrance of Camp al-Sharaf, inside the fortified Green Zone in Baghdad.
Elsewhere, at least 13 people were killed and 15 injured when a suicide bomber detonated a car in the central city of Tikrit on Monday, officials said. The bomber blew up the explosives-filled sedan car at the entrance to a complex of palaces used by the former Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein.
