Indian Journalist Arrested For Attack On Israeli Embassy Vehicle

The Delhi Police have arrested an Indian journalist working for an Iranian publication in connection to the February 13 bomb attack on an Israeli embassy vehicle seriously injuring the wife of an Israeli diplomat.

The journalist, identified as Syed Mohammad Kazmi, was produced before a Delhi court which sent him to 20-day police custody for interrogation and further investigation.

According to the police, they recovered the bike used in carrying out the attack, some incriminating documents, some US dollars from the arrested journalist.

A motorcyclist had placed a device on the embassy car at a traffic light, which led to a blast injuring four persons, including the Israeli envoy’s wife.

Later, Israel had blamed Iran for the attack, but Tehran outrightly denied the charge.
