California: US Fighter Jet Crashes, Kills Two Crew Members

US Navy officials confirmed late Wednesday that a fighter jet crashed in a field near Lemoore air base, in California killing two crew members.
Officials from the Naval Air Station in Lemoore say the F/A-18 aircraft crashed while on a training mission, officials said.
“The names are being withheld until next of kin are notified,” a Navy official told CNN.
“An investigation will be conducted to determine the cause of the accident.” F/18 Hornets are jets that are used by the military for combat operations and also in the Navy’s Blue Angels Flight Demonstration Squadron, which performs aerial shows.
Lemoore is about 70 miles northwest of Bakersfield, California
