U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said she is concerned over tensions at the contact line between Armenian and Azerbaijani armed forces.
“There can be no military solution to the Nagorno Karabakh conflict. We are trying hard to reach peaceful agreement. There has to be an agreement. I am trying to do everything I can to reach resolution,” Clinton said.
Clinton conveyed the U.S. readiness to foster achievement of conflict settlement based on Helsinki Final Act principle.
“I urge the president of Azerbaijan and Armenia to work together and take necessary measures for establishment of peace,” Trend quoted Clinton as saying.
