Chavez In Cuba For Further Cancer Treatment

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez arrived to Havana on Sunday to begin a new phase of cancer treatment, including chemotherapy sessions, Radio Habana Cuba reported.

The 57-year-old left-wing populist had surgery in Cuba in June to remove a cancerous tumor from his pelvic region.

Chavez said that despite his physical condition he is full of energy and is determined to run for the 2012 presidential elections.

He has already addressed the National assembly (Venezuelan parliament) for permission to be out of the country for a time being to continue chemotherapy in Havana.
