Iran, Vietnam To Launch Direct Flights

The speaker of the Iranian Parliament unveiled plans to operate direct flights between Tehran and Hanoi. 

Speaking at a joint press conference with Chairman of Vietnam’s National Assembly Vuong Dinh Hue, held in Tehran on Tuesday, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf said they have held talks on a range of political and economic issues.

Pointing to an agreement on easing the visa regime between the two countries, Qalibaf said direct flights between Tehran and Hanoi will be launched soon.

He also stressed the need to set up joint commissions between Iran and Vietnam on economic, fishery, health and medicine sectors.

At the conclusion of the presser, the two senior MPs signed a memorandum of understanding on parliamentary cooperation between the two countries.
