Belgium, France And Luxembourg To Dismantle Dexia Bank

Belgian Prime Minister Yves Leterme, French Premier Francois Fillon and representatives of the Luxembourg government Sunday reached agreement on the dismantlement of the Dexia banking group, acccording to Belgian media reports.

The board of Dexia board is now discussing the deal.

Leterme said that during the meeting today afternoon the governments of Belgium, France and Luxembourg confirmed their solidarity in the search for a solution to guarantee Dexia’s future.

Details of the accord are expected to emerge after the Dexia board meeting later today
