Iran’s Foreign Ministry Denies Plot To Kill Trump
The spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry rejected the allegations of Tehran’s involvement in plots to assassinate former and incumbent US officials.
In a statement on Saturday morning, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei dismissed the accusations as completely baseless.
He said similar accusations have been made in the past, which Iran has firmly denied and proven false.
Baqaei emphasized that repeating such claims at this juncture is a malicious conspiracy orchestrated by the Zionist and anti-Iranian circles aimed at further complicating the issues between the US and Iran, the ministry’s website reported.
The spokesman also reiterated that Iran remains committed to utilizing all legitimate and legal means at both domestic and international levels to restore the rights of the Iranian nation.
His comments came after the US Justice Department claimed on Friday that it has foiled what it called an Iranian murder-for-hire plot to kill Donald Trump.
