Egypt: New PM Vows To Live Up To Public Expectations

By

Egypt’s newly appointed Prime Minister Kamal Al-Ganzouri said Friday he would do his best to fulfill the expectations and hopes of the Egyptian people.

Al-Ganzouri told a news conference that he would work with everybody in Egypt for the sake of the country’s national interests.

He urged all Egyptians to help him to meet public and national expectations during the coming period.

He unveiled that four ad hoc ministerial committees have been created to look into core issues, chiefly compensations to the victims of the January 25 revolution, security and economy, and then find relevant solutions.

The new premier said the committee would finish their missions by the end of this month.

On protests in downtown Cairo Tahrir Square, Al-Ganzouri urged protesters there and also at the Cabinet building to break their sit-in and to seek to serve their country instead.
