Belarus: President Vows To Hunt Down Those Behind Subway Blast

Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko vowed to vowed to crack down on those behind the explosion that rocked the subway in capital city, Minsk, on Monday.

Those who mastermind “this terrorist act have thrown at our faces a serious challenge and we have to respond on this challenge in an appropriate manner,” Lukashenko was quoted by Interfax news agency as saying in an urgent meeting of state officials.

He called on citizens to help authorities track down the attackers.

“We should do everything we can to safeguard safety of citizens,” he said of the blast that killed 11 people and wounded 126 others.
No group claimed responsibility for the attack.
