Romney Picks Ryan As VP Running Mate – US Press

By

Mitt Romney, the US Republican presidential candidate, has picked Wisconsin congressman Paul Ryan, 42, to be his vice president running mate, according to US media reports.

The Associated Press, citing a “Republican with knowledge of the development,” said Romney and Ryan will both appear Saturday in Norfolk, Va., to make the official announcement before beginning a four-state bus tour.

Several other US news outlets have also published the announcement.

The AP noted that the Romney campaign declined to confirm the news, but only said that Romney’s running mate would be revealed at 9 a.m. EDT at the Nauticus Museum, where the USS Wisconsin is berthed.

US press is speculating the location of the ship is in reference to the Wisconsin congressman, Ryan, being named.

Ryan is often cited for his views on economic policy and especially his proposed changes to Medicare.

USA Today noted that with Ryan as his running mate, “Romney appears ready to have a national conversation about federal spending and the growth of entitlements with one of the GOP’s leading budget authorities at his side.”

Mitt Romney is not going to get elected anyway so it doesn’t matter.

This is an outstanding choice. Paul Ryan is a serious and competent man. In other words, Paul Ryan is an adult.

I doubt he is an adult except in age. He lack any understand of the ordinary person only focused on the finance for the wealthy and power that is derived from wealth.

he’s a great choice if Romney’s looking for the Tea Party vote. He’ll backfire on Romney like Palin did on McCain.
