Syria: 47 Killed As Activists Warn Of “Real Massacres”
Syrian rights activists said the death toll on Tuesday amounted to 47 amid clashes between army deserters and government forces. Most of those killed and injured were in Idleb, Al-Arabiya television reported.
Reports claim that a Turkish citizen was killed in Idleb. According to the activists, the Syrian security and army forces “are committing real massacres” in Idleb.
Military operations were also reported in the southern town of Dara’a and in Harasta located in Damascus countryside. According to the reports, 22 people were killed in Idleb. Six people died in Hama, three others in Dara’a and three in Homs.
On its part, the Syrian news agency SANA conveyed the Syrian authorities clashed with an “armed terrorist group” in Hzano town in Idleb province. “The authorities managed to kill and injure several terrorists and confiscate their weapons,” it added.
