Five Injured In Hebron Clashes After Teenager Shot Dead
Five people were hurt Thursday in Israeli-Palestinian clashes in Hebron, West Bank, as Palestinians protested the fatal shooting of a teen by Israeli soldiers.
Israeli military forces fired tear gas at Palestinians, sending five demonstrators to the hospital, and detained four young people, described as between the ages of 8 and 14, the Palestinians Ma’an News Agency said.
The confrontations began overnight between residents and Israeli soldiers deployed to the area after an Israeli border guard shot and killed a Palestinian teenager in Hebron’s Old City Wednesday. Israeli police said the 16-year-old victim appeared to be carrying a fake pistol.

“Initial findings are that he had a fake pistol that he pointed at the officers at the time of the incident,” police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld told Ma’an [on] Wednesday.
Israeli broadcaster Arutz Sheva said the protesters threw rocks and bottles at Israeli soldiers, whose response included firing tear gas.
