Pakistan Says Can Survive Without US Aid
By KUNA
Pakistan Thursday echoed nationalist rehtoric and said that it can survive without US aid, but at the same time warned that it would not be responsible for failure in the war against terrorism.
Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar, commenting on US freezing of USD 700 million in aid, told media that Pakistan would get by without it.
However, she added that the US, not Pakistan, would be responsible for the failure of the war against terror.
Talking to media outside parliament, Foreign Minister Khar said that she has provided the details of the written agreements with the US to the National Security Committee in parliament.
Pak-US relations, she said, are in a state of discontinuation and whatever decision is made by the parliament about the negotiations between the two countries would be implemented.
