Ron Paul: The Coronavirus Hoax – OpEd

By

Governments love crises because when the people are fearful they are more willing to give up freedoms for promises that the government will take care of them. After 9/11, for example, Americans accepted the near-total destruction of their civil liberties in the PATRIOT Act’s hollow promises of security.

It is ironic to see the same Democrats who tried to impeach President Trump last month for abuse of power demanding that the Administration grab more power and authority in the name of fighting a virus that thus far has killed less than 100 Americans.

Declaring a pandemic emergency on Friday, President Trump now claims the power to quarantine individuals suspected of being infected by the virus and, as Politico writes, “stop and seize any plane, train or automobile to stymie the spread of contagious disease.” He can even call out the military to cordon off a US city or state.

State and local authoritarians love panic as well. The mayor of Champaign, Illinois, signed an executive order declaring the power to ban the sale of guns and alcohol and cut off gas, water, or electricity to any citizen. The governor of Ohio just essentially closed his entire state.

The chief fearmonger of the Trump Administration is without a doubt Anthony Fauci, head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases at the National Institutes of Health. Fauci is all over the media, serving up outright falsehoods to stir up even more panic. He testified to Congress that the death rate for the coronavirus is ten times that of the seasonal flu, a claim without any scientific basis.

On Face the Nation, Fauci did his best to further damage an already tanking economy by stating, “Right now, personally, myself, I wouldn’t go to a restaurant.” He has pushed for closing the entire country down for 14 days.

Over what? A virus that has thus far killed just over 5,000 worldwide and less than 100 in the United States? By contrast, tuberculosis, an old disease not much discussed these days, killed nearly 1.6 million people in 2017. Where’s the panic over this?

If anything, what people like Fauci and the other fearmongers are demanding will likely make the disease worse. The martial law they dream about will leave people hunkered down inside their homes instead of going outdoors or to the beach where the sunshine and fresh air would help boost immunity. The panic produced by these fearmongers is likely helping spread the disease, as massive crowds rush into Walmart and Costco for that last roll of toilet paper.

The madness over the coronavirus is not limited to politicians and the medical community. The head of the neoconservative Atlantic Council wrote an editorial this week urging NATO to pass an Article 5 declaration of war against the COVID-19 virus! Are they going to send in tanks and drones to wipe out these microscopic enemies?

People should ask themselves whether this coronavirus “pandemic” could be a big hoax, with the actual danger of the disease massively exaggerated by those who seek to profit – financially or politically – from the ensuing panic.

That is not to say the disease is harmless. Without question people will die from coronavirus. Those in vulnerable categories should take precautions to limit their risk of exposure. But we have seen this movie before. Government over-hypes a threat as an excuse to grab more of our freedoms. When the “threat” is over, however, they never give us our freedoms back.

Your childish statement shows you’re a racist fool or a paid troll. The power grab is absolutely happening…as Rahm Emmanuel has said “never let a serious crisis go to waste” and the deep state are doing just that. Always look for who benefits. The Wall St / City of London “huxters” and their Fed / IMF enablers have finally sucked the well dry. The financial house of cards is crumbling and they’re using this conveniently timed “pandemic”, to create a controlled financial crash. The total lock down of each country is causing massive job losses and civil chaos. This is allowing governments (on orders from their “bankster” overlords) to move billions in “stimulus” and emergency funds while a panicked public accepts it because of fear. This is the 2008 crash / reset on steroids. The crooked Zionist banksters will steal billions to prop up their criminal system while using it to push forward their Communist world takeover. This is the inevitable result of the massive fraud that started at Jekyll Island.

The Congress Man is accurate. Trump was moved 180 degree from nothing to calamity. What Trump has done is to eliminate Coronavirus by asking the Fed to cut the interest rates even to negative. The Fed did. The result is more panic. Trump created oil war by asking MBS to counter Russia but the Russians played correctly by pumping more oil.
US shale will be dying and Trump has to bailout the Zombies. Trump tries to cut taxes on the financiers to eliminate the Virus. Other important policy tool Trump is using is to bomb and to sanction countries with Coronavirus in order to help these countries to counter the virius. He is also moving his forces aound in order to occupy Iraq. Panic after Panic…
Economy is in deep crisis even before Coronavirus, and now the Virus is to blame for the crisis. But the Crisis started by Trump’s trade war and sanctions on China and Iran and other countries along with his useless tax cut to help the wealthy. Other reason was the cut in interest rate. Again, Coronavirus is a contributing factor to show the world that the US economy and health system are naked and zombies. Monopoly and Oligopoly do not represent free market capitalism. They are distortions to destroy the system.
All in all, militarization will be the norm to loot people’s wealth everywhere for the wealthy.

And, this 5 days later, did ya look at the leatest number of deaths, the 17th, 5000 world wide, as of today 5000 deaths in Italy alone. I suppose you will be looking back at the moment, you decided to publish this article, for a long time yet. If there is a long time left for you. Surely as a lawmaker yourself, you must have hearded the story of the guy with the chessboard, asking the king to fill it up with 1 grain on 1 square, double on the next, and so on, 1, 2, 4, 8…you must feel a bit like that king now, after he agreed, lol. The death rate, world wide, has doubled Every 3 Days ! How long, you think the states is going to last now, with hardly anybody being able to afford a respirator ? Stay safe, mate, best stay safe !

This man is focusing on death rates, and he is right there, but the problem with this virus is not that it leads to death in a relatively small number. The problem is the fact that it is very highly infectious. The danger lies in the fact that many healthy people can quickly become infected at the same time, and a huge number of patients could overwhelm staff in the hospitals which do not have adequate equipment to deal with the problem. This is what has happened in Italy. The numbers have been such that there are not enough respirators available for those who need them. So doctors have to decide who to treat, and who to allow to die. There may be many unnecessary deaths merely because there is not enough equipment to go round!

Have to say this article hasn’t aged very well. Death toll in America now stands at 42 000 in a period of six weeks, despite significant – though very belated – attempts at mitigation.

Search WW 1 TRIAGE illustrations….and you will see some seasoned physicians at the head of the casualty line directing traffic rather than using their incredible talent to save a single patient….conserving valuable resources. Where are our highly trained (colonels) in todays flu lines. Instead you will see some poorly trained, poorly supervised EMT making resource conserving decisions. Study battlefield TRIAGE…and start over!
