The President of the European Commission Jose Manuel Barroso Friday met UK Prime Minister David Cameron for a working breakfast and discussed with him a range of topics including the current economic and political developments in the European Union.
EU spokesperson Ahrenkilde Hansen told a news conference that the two leaders also exchanged views on the forthcoming EU summit in Brussels on 9 December.
“They agreed on the importance of prioritizing the decisive action needed to ensure the stability of the euro as well as fast-tracking measures to stimulate growth and jobs,” said the spokesperson.
They both underlined the importance of further developing the single market in Europe in the interests of business and citizens across the EU and especially help the small and medium-size businesses, she added.
