Two French Ships To Take Part In Gaza-Bound Freedom Flotilla II

By

Two French ships will be part of the Gaza-bound freedom flotilla II that would sail from Istanbul, Turkey, one of the organizers said Saturday.

Claude Leostic, at a news conference from Marseille, was quoted by the local media as saying that one of the ships would be sailing from Greece with 25 activists with the aim of breaking the Israeli siege on Gaza Strip.

The activists are radical left-wing MPs, intellectuals and sports people, he noted.

Leostic said it would be determined tomorrow the participation of a second ship which would be taking off from France with 15 activists.

The French foreign ministry adviced citizens not to take part in the freedom flotilla II for their own safety.
