Crowds of activists have started an anti-NATO demonstration in downtown Chicago as the military bloc’s summit kicked off in the city. Organizers say up to 10,000 people are expected to take part in the rally.
The protesters have taken to the streets to voice their opposition to NATO`s costly and deadly wars.
Saturday’s demonstration was marred by clashes with police and further arrests. Protest organizers have pledged their numbers will swell over the next two days.
