Dutch Economy Grew 1.1 Percent

In the third quarter of 2011, Dutch economic growth was 1.1 percent compared with the same period last year, the Dutch statistics office announced Thursday.

Meanwhile, the population in the Netherlands is expected to grow by 60,000 people a year in the coming years and will reach to 17 million people in 2016, it said.

Each year about 180,000 babies are born compared to 140,000 deaths. And 160, 000 people a year settle in the Netherlands with about the same number of people leaving the country.
