US President Barack Obama will host his Chinese counterpart Hu Jintao at the White House on January 19th for talks on bilateral, regional, and global issues, said the White House late Wednesday.
This will be the third official visit of the administration and reciprocates Obama’s State visit to China in November 2009, according to a statement released by the White House.
“President Hu’s visit will highlight the importance of expanding cooperation between the United States and China on bilateral, regional, and global issues, as well as the friendship between the peoples of our two countries,” it said.
The President and First Lady Michelle Obama will host Hu for an official state dinner on the night of January 19.
