Although many flights were able to land and take off from Brussels airport due to improvement in weather conditions Friday evening, the airport is still experiencing major difficulties.
Local TV channels showed hundreds of stranded passengers at the airport trying to reschedule their flights or get a ticket refund.
Airport authorities are urging passengers to check their flight schedules before going to the airport.
Camp beds are being prepared to accommodate those who have to spend the night of Christmas at the airport.
Large amounts of snow are still hampering air traffic and complicating loading and unloading operations.
